Our Mission
To provide a Christ-centered environment for home schooled young men to play baseball at the highest competitive level.
Wake County Home School Baseball was started in 2000. Since then, our program has grown to field four teams (2 high school and 2 middle school teams) that compete with other home school, private and public school programs in the area. WCHS has been successful competing against some of the top baseball programs in the area, as well as in equipping those players who have the ability and desire to compete at the college level after graduation. More importantly we have seen our players develop in character and maturity in Christ as they become equipped for the game of life.
High School Varsity/JV
The Warriors Junior Varsity plays a 20-25 game schedule against other home, private, and public school programs in the area. The JV team also plays in school team tournaments when appropriate. The Junior Varsity is an opportunity for younger players to develop their skills and gain experience in preparation for playing at the varsity level. Tryouts for Varsity/JV are usually held in the fall after a series of winter workouts. Practice starts early in the new year.
Home games have been played at historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson, USA Baseball in Cary, and other local venues.
Middle School
The Warriors Middle School program sponsors one or two middle school teams annually dependent on interest. These include a varsity (6th - 8th graders) and a junior varsity (6th-7th graders) team when applicable. The Middle School Varsity team plays and independent schedule of approximately 20 games against other home, private, and public schools. Practices and home games are held on fields local to the Wake County area and have included venues such as historic Fleming Stadium. This is a competitive baseball league. MS Varsity base distance is 90 feet, and the pitching mound distance is 60'6"
